Steve Cooper opted to make 11 changes in Nottingham Forest’s Carabao Cup 3-0 win over Grimsby Town and Super Eagles’ duo of Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi both featured albeit failing to get on the scoresheet. Cooper took off Emmanuel Dennis for Taiwo Awoniyi as the game went on after Ryan Yates made it 1-0 with a thunderbolt before Sam Surridge grabbed the other goals in either side of half-time.

Everton’s Alex Iwobi put in a man-of-the-match display to help Everton book a ticket to round three of the EFL Cup.
