Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan began preparations for the incoming season on a smooth note on Wednesday morning with newly unveiled Technical Adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, meeting the squad and taking charge for the first time at the training Pitch A of the Dipo Dina Stadoum, Ijebu-Ode.

Addressing the players, the former Remo Stars gaffer, welcomed the Oluyole Warriors players and urged them to justify their presence in the team.

The tactician, who lists Sharks of Port Harcourt, Rangers International, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars as part of his former employers, challenged them to exhibit high level professionalism on and off the pitch. He also reminded them of the huge expectations from the government of Oyo State, the club’s management as well as the teeming fans and supporters of the club across the globe.

Thereafter, the players settled down for the business of the day as the they were taken through series of drills by the  coach and his assistants coaches Abimbola Lawal, Abayomi Adigun as well as the goalkeeper’s coaching duo of Kola Ige and John Dosu.

The Oluyole warriors are also expected to make a trip down to Ikenne, to participate in the VALUEJET CUP 2022, a preseason tourney slated to hold at the Remo Stars Stadium between August 24th and September 3rd.
