France midfielder N’Golo Kante will be unavailable for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury. This was revealed by Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel in his prematch presser ahead of the Blues’ clash with Leicester City this weekend.
The 31-year-old “key player” picked up the injury in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham and missed the 3-0 defeat at Leeds last weekend.
A one-match touchline ban means Chelsea will also be without Tuchel at home to the Foxes on Saturday.
His appeal against the ban which was imposed for his altercation with Tottenham’s Antonio Conte at the end of the London derby on 14 August was unsuccessful in a statement confimed by the Football Association on Friday.
