Premier League club West Ham United have agreed a deal with Lyon for the transfer of Brazil international Lucas Paquetá according to reports from France and England.
David Moyes had earlier this week admitted that the Irons had made a bid for Paquetá and the former Manchester United boss seems destined to land his man following talks between the two clubs.
24-year-old Paquetá has made 33 appearances for Brazil since his debut in 2018. Paquetá was voted as the Best Foreign Player in the Ligue 1 in the 2021/2022 season following an impressive personal campaign.
Lucas Paqueta would be joining Emerson Palmieri, Thilo Kehrer, Maxwell Cornet, Flynn Downes, Gianluca Scamacca and Nayef Aguerd on the list of those who have walked in through the door at the London Stadium this summer.
Following a winless start to the Premier League season, West Ham travel to Villa Park on Sunday in search for their first points against Steven Gerrard’s side.
