The Nigerian military has secured the release of the remaining 23 Abuja to Kaduna train hostages.

Statement by the Secretary, Chief of Defence Staff Action Committee, Prof Usman Yusuf, said the seven-man Presidential Committee assembled by Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, secured the release and took custody of all the 23 remaining pasengers held hostage by Boko Haram terrorists.
The statement commended the unwavering support of President Muhammadu Buhari for making it possible to secure the release of the victims.

Terrorists had on the 28th of March attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train and kidnapped about 168 passengers.
The 23 hostages freed are the last to regain freedom.
