Murray overcame a break deficit in the first set to force a tiebreaker, but the 22-year-old Korda won that and then dominated the second set.

Russian Daniil Medvedev defeated injured Italian Lorenzo Sonego with a 7-6 (8-6) 2-1 victory. Medvedev previously lost to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final in 2021 and to Rafael Nadal in the Grand Slam final in 2022.
