Super agent Jorge Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo have split after 20 years in partnership according to reports making the rounds.
It is widely reported that Cristiano Ronaldo granting Piers Morgan a purposely offensive interview, against the advice of Mendes, in which he had strong words about the Manchester United coach, structure and even the cook was the reason for this split. After 20 years in what can be described as a very lucrative partnership, Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes will now no longer work together.
Super agent Jorge Mendes was not involved in Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr. The talks were instead held by Ricardo Regufe, a longtime friend who also deputizes as manager to the Portuguese superstar, alongside his lawyers who negotiated with Al-Nassr.
Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe also confirmed that a Newcastle-specific UCL clause does not exist in Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr contract.
