The United States of America defeated Italy 4-0 to win the inaugural edition of the United Cup mixed teams event.

World No. 9 Taylor Fritz won the title after defeating Matteo Berrettini 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (8-6) in the third game of the best-of-five final.

Earlier, Jessica Pegula beat Martina Trevison 6-4, 6-2 and Lorenzo Musetti withdrew from the men’s singles rubber match against Francis Tiafoe with a shoulder injury.

Madison Keys beat Lucia Bronzetti her 6-3 6-2 to give America her 4-0 lead.
The new event kicked off with 18 nations playing round-robin games in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney. The USA dropped only two rubbers throughout the tournament, including a 4–1 victory over Great Britain in the Sydney City final to secure their place in the last four.

They then defeated Poland who were led by Iga Swiatek 5-0 in the semifinals while Italy won 4-1 against Greece to reach the final.
