El Bilal toure’s  24th minute strike was enough for Almeria as they got a shock victory over league leaders Barcelona at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.

Breakout star El Bilal Toure continued an excellent debut season in Spain with a brilliant goal 24 minutes into the first-half.
The Mali international chested down a long ball, laid it off and immediately raced in behind to receive the return ball. Taking back possession, he drove into the Barcelona box before unleashing a thunderous strike that goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen had no hope of saving.
Barcelona dominated possession but could still not manage a single shot on target until the 82nd minute.

The Catalan giants failed to extend their seven-point lead at the top of the table despite having the likes of Lewandowski, Raphinha and Gavi on the pitch.

The defeat was Barcelona’s first in La Liga since the mid-October Clasico loss to Real Madrid – a 13 game run – but also marked consecutive losses following their mid-week Europa League exit at the hands of Manchester United.

The result throws some life back into the La Liga title race given Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday had all but handed the gauntlet to Barcelona.
