Manchester United put one foot into the quarterfinals of the Europa League with a 4-1 victory over Real Betis at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils recovered from their 0-7 demolition at the hands of Liverpool with a vibrant display that all but secured their passage into the last eight of the Europa League.

United got the lead when Marcus Rashford scored his 26th goal in all competitions this season with a fierce shot in the seventh minute.

Former Leicester forward Ayoze Perez then got an equalizer for the Spanish side.

Erik Ten Hag, who had kept faith in the same starting eleven that lost heavily to Liverpool, became the happier of the two managers by the touchline when Antony curled in a fine goal from the edge of the box to put the Red Devils back in the lead.

Bruno Fernandes, who had gotten a lot of stick for his performance against Liverpool, then headed in a third from Luke Shaw’s cross before Wout Weghorst knocked in a rebound to make it 4-1 against Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

The result brought some joy to the United faithful as they got the reaction they wanted from the players.
