It is a known fact that democracy is a form of governance in which the people exercise their right to make political decisions through their elected officers. The essence of democracy lies in the fact that the will of the people is fulfilled through electoral process.
March 18, 2023 is another day in the political history of Nigeria where Lagos state is not in exception, the good people of Lagos State will be trooping and reaffirmed their solidarity with the developmental agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the second term in office.
There is no doubt and it is well visible that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has maintained the status quo of governance, fostered unity, and rekindled hope for the possibility of a new Lagos. In fact, Lagos State is now experiencing unprecedented economic growth and a generational shift through world class developmental projects by Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
In the health sector, Like all other sectors in the socio-economic life of Lagosians, the health component has been receiving the required massive push from the Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration. And the results have been phenomenal. Right from his first day in office, Governor Sanwo-Olu was conscious of consolidating on the achievements of his predecessors and sustaining the reputation of the state as a Centre of Excellence.
Education is believed to be a lethal weapon to conquer poverty by developing needful skills that will make people wealthy and self-sufficient.
With this knowledge Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State and his team have demonstrated a great understanding of what it means to build human capacity via education by investing heavily in people of the state through proper fund for the sector.
It will be retrogressive to vote for any candidate who may likely cause a derailment in the Lagos master plan. Therefore, we should give Sanwo-Olu another mandate because he has faithfully adhered to the Lagos master plan. Such adherence is necessary in order to sustain the status of Lagos as the centre of excellence in Nigeria and the model for other states. All lovers of good governance and all those who want progress for Lagos State should vote for Sanwo-Olu. There is definitely no better alternative.
