Oluwaseun Ogunsakin has made history as he is set to become the first homegrown Nigerian talent to earn a wildcard into the Junior event at Wimbledon.
The 14-year-old, whose idol is Rafael Nadal, was awarded a spot after he emerged as the African U14 champion at the ITF/CAT junior championships held recently in Lome.
The Nigerian youngster, who’s currently on scholarships at the ITF tennis camp in Tunisia also bagged an ITFTennis scholarship which would take him on an European tour – France, the Orange Bowl in the US before he makes his Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon.
