Bayelsa United posted the biggest result of the day as they roundly trounced Abia Warriors 5-1 under the eyes of Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.

Robert Mizo opened the scoring with Jerry, Oyowah and Stephen adding to the scoreline before Abia Warriors pulled one back in the 41st minute.

Alex Oyowah got his second goal in the 44th minute to round up the scoring for the day.

In Akure, Shooting Stars Sports Club’s Alimi Sikiru missed a penalty but substitute Joshua Akpan ensured the Oluyole Warriors wrestled all three points away from Kwara United.

Dayo Ojo got sent off in the 43rd minute of Remo Stars’ goalless draw against Gombe United in Ikenne which was later abandoned while Ani Elijah and Godwin Obaje scored as Lobi Stars held Enugu Rangers to a 1-1 draw.

Musa Usman and Charles Chibuike scored either side of Daniel Mark’s goal to give Doma United a 2-1 win over Niger Tornadoes while Uche Collin’s 73rd minute strike was enough to help Deji Ayeni’s Akwa United see off Enyimba with a 1-0 victory at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Deputy Echeta equalised in the 77th minute to cancel Izuchukwu Chimezie’s 43rd minute goal as Bendel Insurance held Plateau United to the second 1-1 draw of the day.

Dakkada’s Jonathan Prosper thought his 44th minute equalizer would help his side after Chibundu Amah had put hosts Wikki Tourists in the lead but Ibrahim Salisu and Amah, again, scored to help their side get all three points.

Bala Nkiyu resigned from his role as Nasarawa United coach after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of El-Kanemi Warriors.
