Chelsea’s interim manager Frank Lampard has revealed that defender Kalidou Koulibaly will be out for the next few weeks with an hamstring injury.

The Senegalese picked up the injury during the Blues’ 2-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.

He is expected to miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Brighton and the return leg against Real on Tuesday both at Stamford Bridge.

Left-back Marc Cucurella replaced Koulibaly in the 55th minute at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Benoit Badiashile could come in for the Brighton match, but the 22-year-old Frenchman is not registered for the Blues in Europe.

23-year-old Trevoh Chalobah is another option for Lampard and is in Chelsea’s European squad.
