A Julio Enciso stunner sank Chelsea to their third straight defeat under Frank Lampard as Brighton snatched a 2-1 victory at the Stamford Bridge.

Connor Gallagher had put the Blues in the lead in the 13th minute after being set up by Mudryk but Danny Welbeck, who had come on for the injured Evan Ferguson, got a 42nd minute equaliser when he headed in Pascal Gross’ cross from the right.

Julio Enciso, a 28th minute replacement for Veltman, then stunned the whole Stamford Bridge and sent the away stands into rapturous joy with his scorcher from range in the 69th minute.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who captained the Blues, was kept busy as he was forced into makng as many as 8 crucial saves in the game with the Seagulls in control all through.

Lampard’s side are winless in their last 5 games – a run that includes defeats to Aston Villa, Wolves and now Brighton – with draws against Everton and Liverpool in that time.

Chelsea are now stuck in 11th having accrued 39 points in 31 league games this term.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side  have gotten 10 points more in two games less – putting them at 7th in the Premier League table.

In other Saturday Premier League fixtures, Ollie Watkins was star of the match as Unai Emery’s Aston Villa defeated Newcastle United 3-0 before Eberechi Eze starred with a brace in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 away win at Southampton.

Fulham got a 3-1 win over Everton at the Goodison Park while Wolverhampton Wanderers tore Brentford apart with a 2-0 win at the Molineux.

Outtara Dango got the winning goal as Bournemouth got a thrilling 3-2 win over Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur stdaium despite Son Heung-Min scoring first in the 14th minute.

Matias Vina and Dominic Solanke looked to turn things around before Arnaut Danjuma made it 2-2 in the 88th minute.

But Solanke got the better of the Spurs’ defence before laying the ball through to Dango who put the ball beyond Hugo Lloris in the 5th minute of injury time.
