Arsenal’s title chances suffered a further dent as West Ham United fought back to a 2-2 draw in a pulsating Premier League encounter at the London Stadium.

Arteta’s men had gone two-nil up within ten minutes as Gabriel Jesus and captain Martin Odegaard  scored in the 7th and 10th minutes respectively.

Said Benhrama then pulled one back for the Hammers from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute to add some spice to the game.

England international Bukayo Saka, who has been a key part of the Gunners’ title challenge this season, then missed a spotkick and watched as Jarrod Bowen equalised barely three minutes later.

The Gunners did try to get back in the lead but it just was not to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Arteta’s side are now just four points ahead of Manchester City having played an extra game.

David Moyes’ West Ham are 15th on the log with their 7th draw of the season.
