Nigeria’s U-18 female handball team are champions of the IHF Women’s Trophy Africa Zone 3 Phase after defeating Benin Republic in Accra, Ghana.

Coach Shittu Adewunmi’s girls showed breathtaking performances that left the fans at the Tennis Arena of the Accra Sports Stadium in awe as they conveniently earned a 42-17 victory over Benin Republic.

Goalkeeper Babatunde Kehinde, whose twin sister Taiwo Babatunde got the MVP award in the first game against Liberia, was named the Most Valuable Player of the Match for brilliant display all through the game.

This triumph means Nigeria has now qualified for the IHF Women’s Trophy Continental Phase, winning four matches without losing any game in the competition.
