Real Betis legend Joaquín has announced his retirement from professional football at the end of current season.

The 41-year-old, who has amassed 839 professional appearances in which he has scored 112 goals and provided 102 assists, made his debut in 2000.
His retirement comes after 23 years of fantastic performances and true love for Betis.
With Real Betis Balompié, Joaquin won two of the three Copa Del Rey titles that the club has won in it’s history – in 2005 and in 2022.
The Betis captain, who will turn 42 in July, has made the most appearances of an outfield player in the La Liga.
