Patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division of Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected burglars, Adeyemi Ibrahim, 24 and Taiwo Adisa, 45 and recovered some stolen items from them.
According to a statement from the Lagos State Police Command PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin on Sunday, the suspects were intercepted during a stop-and-search.
He wrote, “At about 6:30am, patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division intercepted 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa in a mini bus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.
“Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items. Shop owner has been contacted for return of property,” he added.
Hundeyin further stated that prosecution of suspects will commence immediately.
