Chairman, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe says the essence of governance at the local government is to uplift the state of people at the grassroots.
Moyosore made this known while donating Eight 500KVA transformers to boost power supply to some communities in the council area.
These transformers, strategically distributed across Millennium Estate CDA Gbagada, Șosanya CDA Ifako, Bakare Bello Market Ifako, Harmony Estate CDA Ifako, Ibrahim Onashokun Street Ifako, Oluwaseun Community Oworonsoki, Odunfa CDA Oworonsoki, and Oruba CDA Ogudu.
In his address, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe said the the essence of governance is to support and elevate grassroots development and the donation of these transformers is to boost power supply, as part of electoral promises to the communities.
Moyosore said the gesture would be extended to other communities, based on their needs.
“We understand that reliable electricity is not a luxury, but a necessity for economic growth, education, and overall well-being. These transformers will help stabilize power supply, reduce downtime, and create an environment where our businesses can thrive and our children can study without interruption.”
In separate remarks from CDA Chairmen that received the transformer on behalf of the communities, they said this new development will powered their dreams, energizing the businesses of the communities and illuminating their homes.
