Following a comprehensive stakeholders meeting attended by key representatives of Kosofe Local Government, including Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon (Kosofe Constituency 1, Lagos State House of Assembly), Executive Chairman Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Legislative Arm led by Hon. Idowu Oluloro, Executive Council members, Community Development Associations, Youth Council, Religious Leaders, Market Associations, Transport Workers, ethnic community leaders, and security agencies, it has been unanimously resolved that:
1. Since none of the approved venues in Lagos State for the nationwide protest scheduled for 1st of August is in Kosofe Local Government Area, no form of protest is encouraged within Kosofe Local Government Area.
2. Any form of public disturbance under the guise of protest is not encouraged.
3. Individuals or groups found disrupting public peace will face appropriate legal consequences.
We urge all residents to maintain peace and use legitimate channels to express their concerns. The safety and well-being of our community remain our top priority.
