Ogunlewe Praises Kosofe Residents for Peaceful Protest

Following the Nationwide Peaceful Protests which commenced on August 1st, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has lauded the demeanor and peaceful behavior exhibited by residents of the Council Area since it’s commencement.

Barrister Moyosore stressed the importance of youths in maintaining quiet and order. He emphasized that given the susceptibility of youths to negative influences during protests, it is crucial for them to abstain from such associations and instead embrace constructive dialogue.

The Council Chairman also reiterated the necessity for residents to exercise patience with the Federal Government and extend their support towards its new policies to realize the socio-economic advancements they are advocating for.

Furthermore, the Council Chairman commended the discernment of Lagosians in embracing peaceful demonstrations and preventing a recurrence of past events like the EndSars protests.

Nevertheless, Barrister Moyosore urged all residents of Kosofe Local Government and its environs to continue upholding peace and fostering mutual co-existence while abiding by the principles of law and order in the remaining days of the protest. He assured that safeguarding lives and properties in Kosofe Local Government remains a top priority for his Administration, and he is committed to employing all available means to ensure their protection.

Additionally, he emphasized his dedication to advancing national interests and perpetuating a culture of peace and harmony.
