The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi, emerged victorious at his polling unit in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election.
Ajayi cast his vote at Polling Unit 4, Idumado Quarter, Kiribo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, where he secured 194 votes.
This put him far ahead of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received just three votes, and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate, who polled one vote.
The results from the unit are as follows:
PDP: 194 votes
APC: 3 votes
ZLP: 1 vote
A total of 204 voters were accredited, with 198 valid votes recorded and six votes declared void.
Earlier, after casting his vote, Ajayi criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and called on its Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, to resign if he is unable to ensure a credible election process.
