The Lagos State Electricity Board has reaffirmed its commitment to improving road visibility in Lagos through innovative technology, as part of efforts to promote public safety and environmental sustainability.
In a statement issued Thursday, the board highlighted the completion of the installation of Smart Solar All-In-One Streetlights along Governor’s Road in Ikotun.
It said the project aligned with the state government’s dedication to sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure development.
The newly installed solar-powered streetlights are equipped with advanced features, including motion sensors and remote monitoring capabilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal maintenance.
“This project provides a sustainable lighting solution powered entirely by renewable energy,” the statement read.
The initiative underscores Lagos State’s drive to integrate modern technologies that adhere to global energy sustainability standards while enhancing road visibility and public safety for residents.
Commenting on the development, the General Manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board, K.A.T. Balogun, said, “This project is part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety and provide environmentally friendly lighting solutions that benefit all residents.”
The board reiterated its commitment to expanding clean energy projects and upgrading public infrastructure across the state, signalling a focus on innovative solutions for a safer, greener Lagos.
