U.S. President Donald Trump, in his inaugural speech on Monday proclaimed the dawn of America’s golden age and pledged to implement sweeping reforms to reshape the nation’s system.

“The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump declared, vowing to prioritise America’s interests and restore its global respect.

He pledged to reclaim the nation’s sovereignty, balance the scales of justice, and end what he called the unfair weaponisation of the Justice Department.

Trump painted a picture of a renewed America, “greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before.”

Confident and optimistic, he described his presidency as the dawn of a thrilling new era of national success.

He spoke of overcoming the challenges of the past, including what he called a betrayal of trust by previous administrations, promising, “From this moment on, America’s decline is over.”

He reflected on personal trials, including an assassination attempt, stating, “My life was saved by God for a reason—to make America great again.”

The president lambasted the Biden administration’s handling of the migrant crisis and border security, announcing immediate executive actions, including declaring a national emergency at the southern border and designating cartels as foreign terrorist organisations.

He pledged to strengthen domestic production, revamp the healthcare and education systems, and revive the auto industry by rolling back mandates like those for electric vehicles.

His administration, he promised, would prioritise energy independence through increased drilling, famously rallying supporters with, “Drill, baby, drill.”

Trump’s plans extended to reshaping the nation’s trade policies, establishing an External Revenue Service to collect tariffs and duties, and boosting the economy through oil and gas production.

He also reiterated his commitment to peace in the Middle East, celebrating the return of hostages from Gaza and promising to restore America’s global standing.

From renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” to rebranding Mount Denali back to Mount McKinley, Trump’s speech was peppered with bold declarations.

He also suggested reclaiming the Panama Canal from what he described as foreign control.

In his concluding remarks, Trump celebrated his political comeback, urging Americans to embrace their potential.

“In America, doing the impossible is what we do best,” he proclaimed. He painted a future of unparalleled success, territorial expansion, and even the ambitious goal of planting the American flag on Mars.

“The future is ours, and our golden age has just begun,” Trump said, as he promised a free, sovereign, and independent America ready to conquer new heights.
