Harry Kane’s 250th goal for Tottenham moved them top of the Premier League (at least for a few hours) with a hard-fought win over Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Kane reacted first to head in an Ivan Perisic flick from a corner to reward Spurs for their second-half dominance. The winning goal means Kane has now scored crucial goals in two of Tottenham’s first three fixtures in a month that he has always struggled to score in.
It also meant Spurs have become the fifth side to score 1,000 goals at home since the Premier League was formed in 1992.
This header also put the England international at the top of the list of players with the most goals for a single club in the Premier League as it was his 185th for Tottenham Hotspur.
