Bottom-placed Premier League side West Ham United sign left-back Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea in a deal worth about £15m. The player moves on a permanent deal from Chelsea after having his medicals done on Monday. A £13m fee plus £2m add-ons was agreed between both Premier League clubs with the player signing a contract until June 2026 with an option for a further year.
The 28-year-old Italy international, who spent last season on loan at Lyon, struggled to become a regular at Stamford Bridge since his 2018 move from Roma.
The Euro 2020 winner becomes West Ham’s seventh signing of the summer.
