Antony’s debut goal and a Marcus Rashford brace saw Manchester United end Arsenal’s perfect start to the season at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 35th minute of a pulsating encounter that had seen VAR in action to cancel compatriot Gabriel Martinelli’s goal for an infringement in the buildup.
It was Rashford’s first Premier League double since December 2020. The performances of Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen in the heart of the United midfield set the tongues of the United faithful wagging all through.
Arsenal still remain top of the Premier League table however, but Mikel Arteta will be concerned at how easily his side were opened up.
