Goals from former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez and Ukrainian Malinovsky helped 10-times winners Marseille knock record 14-time winners Paris Saint-Germain out of the Coupe de France.

Sanchez fired the hosts into the lead from the penalty spot after Sergio Ramos’ foul on Cengiz Under.

Marseille, who are second in Ligue 1 behind PSG, last won the French Cup in 1989 and have won the competition ten times.

With this last-16 triumph in the bag, Marseille will hope to win again when they host a clash between both sides on 26 February in the league where they trail the leaders by eight points.
