All eyes were fixed on the biggest clash on the NPFL Matchday 14 menu as Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance locked horns at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

The Sky Blues scored first through Franck Kwame Mawuena in the 16th minute but parity was restored when Divine Nwachukwu – a former Nigeria U15 player, found the back of the net four minutes later for the Benin Gunners.

Despite ten minutes being added as extra time, neither side added to the scoreline that meant Monday Odigie’s side are still unbeaten so far in the league after 14 games.

Bendel Insurance, who have won 7 and drawn 7 this term, are still top of the Group A standings with 28 points – four more than the second-placed Enyimba who got a vital away 2-1 win over Kwara United.

Monday Odigie will, however, be worried after seeing his side fall to their fifth straight draw with just four games remaining.

Daniel “IjaBall” Ogunmodede’s side are fourth with 23 points accrued after 14 games.

A brace from Musa Usman ensured Doma United got a 2-0 victory over Wikki Tourists while Ibrahim Mustapha’s 36th minute penalty saw Plateau United get a 1-0 triumph at home to Akwa United.

Shooting Stars Sports Club played out a goalless draw away at El Kanemi Warriors as a brace from Wisdom Ikechi Stephen and a Jerry Alex goal saw Bayelsa United stroll comfortably  past Lobi Stars.

Substitute Munir Idris pulled a brace in a comeback for the away side as Enugu Rangers and Niger Tornadoes played out a breathtaking 2-2 draw at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

A two-minute brace from Adejoh Ojonugwa ensured Abia Warriors got a 2-1 win over Sunshine Stars after Nasarawa United played out a 1-1 draw with Gombe United.
