Moses and others at large were said to have invaded Adebeshi Street, off Joju Road, Sango Ota, on Friday and dispossessed members of the community of their belongings at gunpoint.
Following distress calls by some of the victims, the Divisional Police Officer for Sango division, Saleh Dahiru, stormed the area with his patrol team but the robbers fled the scene on seeing the advancing policemen.
However, one of them, Isikilu Moses, was apprehended in a police chase.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday listed a local pistol and two mobile phones belonging to their victims as items retrieved from the suspect.
The commissioner of police, Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspect be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for discreet investigation.
